HUDSON, Colo. — Faith leaders and a delegation with ties to the Vatican gathered Thursday at a proposed ICE detention facility in Hudson, praying the rosary and calling for human dignity to be centered in the debate over immigration enforcement, according to those present.
The group, organized in part by the faith-based organization Together Colorado, prayed the sorrowful mysteries of the rosary "in anticipation of what we understand could be the opening of a detention center here in Hudson, Colorado," said Thomas Weiler, a member of Together Colorado, which works on immigration and human rights issues across the state.
